We got to chat with influencer and all-around creative Dai Time about creating her own publication and the advice she has for aspiring entrepreneurs.
You’re a very creative person. Would you say you grew up in an environment where you were encouraged to explore your creativity in all of its forms?
Yes, I absolutely love my generation. We are the leaders of creativity with social media. I’m always looking and researching new things to try all geared from social media.
Tell us about your songs “Best Friend” and “Hair Bows and Skates.” What inspired the lyrics?
My past songs were all inspired by my friendships and things I enjoyed doing at the time. Definitely, feel-good music everyone could enjoy.
One day you hope to be a journalist and you’ve already gotten interviews with celebrities under your belt. Is there one interview you’ve done that sticks out as the most memorable or enjoyable?
So many phenomenal interviews, they all standout on my list. I’m just waiting for Ellen and Beyoncé.
You even started your own publication Dai Time Magazine. What have you learned from creating a business?
I’ve learned from creating my own publication that hard work and dedication are key. You must find ways to stay motivated.
On Instagram you have grown a large and loyal following. How do you keep things positive online and stay away from online hate?
I keep everything positive and delete negative comments quickly.
What advice do you have for young people who want to be entrepreneurs?
Never forget the reason you started what you love.
