We got to chat with burgeoning actress Georgia T Willow who has had roles in Faking It, Milkshake Girls and other projects.

What initially got you interested in acting?

I went to preschool on the Paramount Pictures studio lot, so I grew up around productions, and I quickly fell in love with the energy that radiates from film sets! So I started acting classes, and my passion was immediately evident!

How did it feel to guest star on Faking It? What did you learn from that experience?

Getting to work with the whole cast and crew was amazing, and they were all so welcoming! I had grown up watching Gregg Sulkin on Wizards of Waverly Place so getting to work with him was a dream! I’ve always been better at drama, but this role relied heavily on comedy beats, so I was a little nervous during the table read. But to my surprise everyone just let me know that I was great in this role and to breathe and continue with the sass I gave this character! I learned to trust myself and own the character that I’m playing!

Do you have a favorite project you’ve worked on?

It’s so hard to choose, but I recently worked on two separate projects that are both for sex trafficking awareness Milkshake Girls and Lost Girls: Angie’s Story. Both sets became a safe space and a family of sorts when we’re dealing with such heart-wrenching material, and there is screaming, and crying involved the sets have a special energy unlike any other! Most importantly the fact that we were bringing light to an epidemic and helping tell an important story made it even better!

Do you hope to get involved in other aspects of the TV/movie business in the future such as writing, directing, or producing?

I am attending college this coming fall at Columbia College Hollywood, which is a film school! My emphasis will be on acting, but I will be learning about editing, sound, directing, producing, etc. I know that I want to be in this industry forever so learning about every aspect is going to be so exciting and beneficial for me!

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects?

I currently have three upcoming projects all expected to premiere this year!! The first two are the sex trafficking awareness films one being a feature film (Lost Girls: Angie’s story) and the other being a short film (Milkshake Girls). I also have a lifetime movie coming out called The Missing Sister, I being the missing sister, Raven!

What advice do you have for aspiring actors?

Being an actor is HARD work; there is no such thing as an overnight success! You put a lot of time, money, and energy into this career and if you aren’t prepared to give it your all, then this isn’t the career for you. With that said if you love acting as much as I do, never stop! Always go after it and never give up because the more you train and put in the work the more jobs you will book, it’s just a matter of time!
