Aron!’s cozy you (and other nice songs) isn’t just cute, it’s a little romantic daydream in six parts. The jazz-pop newcomer’s debut EP, released via Verve Records, is innocently charming in a way that feels both familiar and brand new. It’s a soundtrack for your softest moments. Whatever the scene, this release has something for everyone looking for a bit more romance out of life.

“I think about you lots” is pure whimsy. It’s floating and fluttery, like Ratatouille’s Paris or a Pixar interlude, and you can’t help but sway along. “Eggs in the morning” carries that same animated joy, instantly catchy and so easy to hum it feels like you’ve known it forever. Meanwhile, “i hate it” brings a more playful pace, and you can hear the instruments darting in and out like they’re playing tag. Every track feels alive.

There’s a sweetness woven through the whole record, especially on standouts like “a life with you,” which sounds exactly like winters in New York when you’re in love and, for me, brings back a fond first date at a jazz club on the West Side. It’s jazz, but it’s our jazz. Aron! is channeling something timeless through a modern lens, like Chet Baker, but with a social media following and better knitwear.

At just six songs, the EP is short enough to leave you wanting more, but that’s kind of the point. Cozy you doesn’t overstay its welcome. It’s just enough to make you feel something tender, then slip away before you can hit replay (which, of course, you will). It echoes the way new love often arrives quickly, stirs something real, and disappears just as fast.

In an era dominated by maximalist pop, aron! feels like a quiet little reawakening for jazz lovers and soft hearts alike. If every generation has its own jazz reemergence icon, maybe aron! is ours.
