We got to chat with Julie Gray. An entrepreneur and the founder of PLAYHAUS HTX.

Did you often go to museums and art galleries growing up?

Yes, I enjoy trips to local museums and art galleries.

What was your thought process behind creating PLAYHAUS HTX?

I wanted to create an innovative company that highlighted art in a more cultured way and be able to help other people and companies expand their  portfolios with curating events, spaces, and ideas and bringing them to life.

The art in each room and various murals are done by local artists. How did you find out about each artist?

Networking and building solid relationships in the city allowed me to collaborate with many talented artists.

In recent years there has been a number of interactive galleries, stories, etc. What has it been like seeing people enjoy the space you created?

I would be at the gallery daily for 10AM, at the door waiting for guests to arrive and enjoy the experience. Loved to hear their reviews and feedback.

As time goes on do you hope to continually change up the rooms in the space and bring in new artists’ work?

Creating PLAYHAUS pt.2, more unique arrangements and creative artist collaborations.

What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Just go for it and make sure whatever you do, do it with passion, or don’t do it at all.
